now when I relad and start a new game the names are in coding font and the pictures are all messed up, should I just give up and not even try to play the game now?

Three times now, I have changed every decision, saved often and the girl kills herself each time and the game crashes. I can't move past it. It reloads a new game and I can't go back to any of the other saved progress. I can't get to a good ending or any other ending beside the suicide on the day of the festival. What do I need to do.
ok this game was suggested to me from someone else, my first time through I knew something bad was going to happen, a group of my friends didn't give any spoilers but I know one despised the game so much, the others really loved it. So I kept getting this nagging feeling that something tragic was enfolding. Man o mercy was I just blown away. I had to delete the firstrun game file and replay to try and get a different outcome. I'm almost there. After what happened the first time I'm choosing so differently I keep telling myself I only want a better outcome, not being honest with myself on my choices, just for the better outcome. Now I'm worried about a different character and another tragic outcome :(
